OUR HISTORY
Cisse Niass Project was created in 2014 to provide humanitarian aid to the Senegalese people. We saw the need to help improve their quality of life. We are passionate about helping others. We know that an unhealthy individual cannot make healthy choices in live. We believe in helping our human-kind and strive to make the world’s surpluses available to the world’s improvised.
HOW WE GOT STARTED
In 2014 a Senegalese community member asked us for help. He said in the village of Kahone, the village elders met with him pleading to help the village. People were starving, did not have clean water nor medicine. Our board members traveled to Senegal and saw for themselves the living conditions of the people. Through our work over the last 3 years, we made a significant difference in their lives.
HOW WE HELP
We began with a food pantry and worked with local cooks to feed those who had nothing to eat daily. With donations, we can feed 250 families for a total of 1,200 people monthly. A local farmer asked us for help obtaining seeds for his farm. We provided seeds to this farm and now the farmer donates over 70% of his crop to our food pantry.
A PASSION
Cisse Niass Project believes in the 17 Global Goals developed by the United Nations and countries of the world. We are passionate about all the Global Goals, and as a humanitarian organization, we are dedicated to making a difference for Senegal’s improvised population with Global Goals 1-6.
